FABACEAE
Members of the Fabaceae or Peaflower family have the most distinctive flower-shape. Some of the smaller species, however, such as the clovers, have to be fairly closed examined for this distinctive shape to become apparent. At first sight a clover appears to have a single globular flower, but in fact it is a tight head of small peaflowers. The family includes several shrubs and undershrubs.
