About Me
I am a molecular biologist specialised in evolutionary biology and bioinformatics.

With this website, I would like to reach out to young scientists, providing tips and advice on potential NGS data analysis pipeline/software to use as well as receiving back advice.

I am self-taught and code with Rake, R, Python and Linux so this is what you'll get!

Always happy to be involved in new projects so do get in contact if you think I may be of help.
Work Experience
2018 -
Research Engineer, GenoScreen, Lille, France
Taking part in the development of a pipeline for the analysis of drug-resistance associated variants of tuberculosis.
2016 - 2017
Postdoctoral position at the Sainsbury Laboratory, Norwich, UK
Taking part of a GBMF-funded project to evaluate genetic diversity at resistance genes in Angiosperms. Working more specifically on rice and wheat.
2012 - 2016
PhD candidate at the Sainsbury Laboratory, Norwich, UK
In Jonathan Jones group, assessing the genetic diversity of the white rust of Brassicaceae in Europe. Development of a targeted sequencing method to interrogate microbial diversity of plants.
2012 / DEC - JUN
Intern at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK
Working under the supervision of Cock van Oosterhout and Mark McMullan on the impact of recombination on the evolution of the Rp1 resistance gene family of Poaceae
2011 / APR - JUN
Intern at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK
Working under the supervision of Cock van Oosterhout and Mark McMullan on the impact of recombination on the evolution of the Major Histocompatibility Complex multigene family
Education

Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille 1
MSc in Ecology
Learning about population genetics, population dynamics, conservation genetics, ecology and the evolutionary theory. Includes two internships focusing on molecular evolution
2010 / JUN
Université du Littoral Côte d'Opale de Calais
BSc in Biology
Learning diverse subjects such as animal and plant physiology, molecular biology and embryology but showing a growing interest in genetics and ecology
